Request for prior written approval in compliance with condition 9 (f) (Extension of operating hours for concrete plant) of planning permission L.20/03/867 M Additional documents: Minutes: The Committee received a presentation by the Case Officer on the submission requesting to extend the operating hours for the concrete plant to 31 March 2025 in compliance with condition 9 (f) of the planning permission as described in the report.
In accordance with the County Council’s scheme for public speaking at meetings, the Committee received representations from Mr Stephen Cox as an objector to the application and Councillor Colin Davies from Kings Bromley Parish Council and Councillor Stuart Threlfall from Alrewas Parish Council.
Representation was also received from the Local Member Councillor Janet Eagland objecting to the application.
The Committee sought assurances as to the principle of extended hours of operation, noise impacts, traffic management including adherence to the specified route to and from the quarry and measures to notify residents of extended hours. The Committee were advised that conditions could be added to address concerns discussed by the Committee.
Following a vote it was:
Resolved – To approve the proposed request to extend the operating hours for the concrete plant to 31 March 2025 in compliance with condition 9 (f) of the planning permission as described in the report and to conditions relating to restricting the hours as set out under paragraph 19 of the report; the immediate notification of members of the quarry’s liaison committee for each period of extended operation of the concrete plant; the implementation of measures to avoid use of a loudspeaker in connection with use of the concrete plant; and the erection of signage at the quarry’s entrance to indicate right-hand turns only for lorries leaving the quarry. |

The construction and operation of a leachate treatment plant and equipment, fencing and access at Meece Landfill. Additional documents: Minutes: The Committee received a presentation by the Case Officer requesting to permit the proposed development for the construction and operation of a leachate treatment plant at at Meece Landfill, Swynnerton Road, Cold Meece, including associated plant and equipment, fencing and access, subject to conditions included in the report.
Following a vote it was:
Resolved – To permit the proposed development for the construction and operation of a leachate treatment plant including associated plant and equipment, fencing and access, subject to conditions based on the heads of terms listed in the report. |
